i found a fabulous antique cross stitch chinoiserie tablecloth set with matching napkins while at a flea with my mom and immediately started thinking that it would be the perfect backdrop of a mahjong party. mahjong isn't just a game, it's an event! hosting is serious business and one simply must have all the correct accoutrements. a fizzy cocktail and a plate of colorful macarons complete the table and you're all set for an afternoon of "friendly" (fierce?) competitive fun.

(let's please give Stephanie Jones a HUGE round of applause for making this design happen! she went so far as to even draw diagrams of a table in play so that i could create a game that's realistic. Stephanie, you are a GEM and i owe so much to you. many thanks!!!)
